I wrote this cartoon during a vacation to the Adirondack mountains. Our cabin was completely covered in moths that would only be alive for a few days… just long enough to get it on. Moths in heat really aren’t the smartest of creatures, but they’re not harmful, and that means they go on my cute list (guinea pigs, newts, fish, manatees). I rather enjoyed that I was surrounded by so much life, and could have stayed there forever. Alas, by the end of the week there were hardly any moths, and I packed up my poor limping computer as it endlessly burped out renders of DNA strands for some kids show, and headed home. I should have buried my computer somewhere in those mountains and just stayed there selling paintings to get by. Is it bad that I’m 24 and can’t wait for retirement?
