Nuclear Pants
I wonder how big a drain on our dwindling resources it would be to rocket our nuclear waste out into space. This same question has lead me to wonder about resources in general. I think the idea of money is a big factor in how quickly we’re using up our resources. When you think about it, currency doesn’t really exist, it’s just a placeholder for resources. When the senate proposes that we send in 100,000 troops for 4 billion dollars, all we see in our heads is 4 billion pieces of paper. What most don’t see is the food, clothing, housing, guns, ammo, oil, and other resources it takes to move 100,000 people into an area and keep them there (especially when it’s not their native land). It would cost countries a lot less if people just stayed put, so I think all of our wars should be fought exclusively on the internet. I might even enlist if that was the case, as I’ve been known to enjoy a game of quake 3 or doom 2 (do people play those games anymore?). I would even help design the soldiers to look like terrible stereotypes of their country (A huge pot bellied American with tattoos, a Canadian with a hockey stick and mittens, a Mexican with a huuuuuuge mustache that he could use as a whip). War could be fun! (my slogan for the 2008 presidential campaign).

Ok, you are seriously WARPED. but the fact that the concept you proposed was killed with Quake2, with me taking part in it (no, I did not have a hockey stick) is disturbing. btw Im 16 and I rode the wave of internet wars, so how old are you to come up with the concept this late after the game?

The best place for nuclear waste, it seems to me, is subduction trenches: places where the oceanic crust is being swallowed.

Or we can stockpile it until someone grows the nads to build modern reactors, where it could be used as fuel.
