I was looking up stuff about Afghanistan today because I’m American and therefore know very little about things outside my country. While doing this I stumbled upon this picture, which is a proposed idea for rebuilding Afghanistan’s capital city, Kabul. Why aren’t there any architectural projects like this being done in America? I would like to point out that these buildings have color and texture associated with them, which blew my mind because I’m used to thinking skyscrapers have to be a grey stone color. I also like that all the buildings are part of a continuous slope which blends in rather well with the mountains. I’m sure making the city look like a mountain comes in handy for Afghans. (Country motto: “Are those more bombs?”). Lastly, this would make an awesome level in Tony Hawk. I could picture myself doing some excellent combos as I grind on the buildings, (maybe stopping to opress a few women), and then doing a stall on some misplaced Russian nukes… that would be rad.
