Gotta Get Out Of This Place
With only 636,677 people for 70,762 square miles, North Dakota might actually be a recluse’s dream. If it weren’t for 80% of those people being fiercely religious, I might consider it. I’ve also seen the movie Fargo, and would rather not end up in a wood chipper…

I live in North Dakota and saw this. For lack of better words I almost died laughing making the population even smaller. Never the less your comment about 80% of us being fiercely religious isn’t quite true, we are down to 75 even though they are having a huge argument about the 10 commandments in front of city hall. Either way, i loved it.

I’m a recluse, and even I find living in North Dakota to be boring.

Oh yeah? I can imagine it being boring. These days my mind wanders more towards Alaska. I can’t imagine being bored with all those mountains.

I live in North Dakota, too. and actually, most of us are not fiercely religious. Religious, yes, but not fiercely so.
Now, fiercely proud? believing in respect? yes, and those come with religion. Of course, you don’t have to have religion to have those, but that doesn’t change what I’ve said. Plus, the movie Fargo wasn’t even filmed in North Dakota, so it doesn’t count.
What you should be more afraid of is our large amount of citizens in either the national guard or other armed forces, and the large likelyhood that we have more rifles (not guns, not puny, armor-bouncing off pistols, rifles) than people.
