Breaking the Law
Why can other animals poop anywhere they want, but we make it illegal for humans to do so? We’ve created a tremendous amount of anxiety as a culture by wanting to control our excrement. I understand that having excrement in the streets promotes the spread of disease, but what if there were no streets? What if we had left the ground as dirt and allowed a more natural decomposition to occur? Perhaps in the future we’ll have a means of transportation (our feet?) that will allow us to tear up all the concrete and tar, like pulling a scab off the earth, helping it to heal.
