WTTF:

An arcology is an architectural idea wherein structures are built to house a high density of humans, leaving the surrounding area for farming or wildlife. Basically, a really big building with everything humans need to live, like a supermarket with a hotel built into it. Provided an arcology is built as a self sustaining structure, I’m ok with it because it has the potential to free the surrounding land of suburbs, and other wasteful human habitats. I can picture a group of humans deciding to live outside the arcology within the forests and wildlife. That would be me.
