Carbon Scrubbing Trees
Yes, carbon-sucking artificial trees are actually in the works. Who knows, it might actually fix this whole global warming thing. Of course if we use them too much then it could potentially lead to a new ice age. If we can get the CO2 down to safer levels for us, there’s still a lot of other forms of pollution we need to work on. We still need to make everything more efficient, make everything reusable, and stop destroying our wilderness. This is a start though, provided it works.
How far away are we from being able to control the entire atmosphere of earth? Will we be voting on whether or not to turn the AC down on India, but the heat up in Siberia? Ahhhh the future.

Except that global warming isn’t only caused by the idiots down here producing an awful load of excess CO2. Something we can’t change, for instance, is an increase in sunspot activity which affects the creation/formation/birth/whateveryoulike of clouds.
On another note, I rather like the tree comics. Sass them, even.

My deal is - instead of using planetary resources to build these artificial “carbon-scrubbing trees,” why don’t they just plant more REAL trees, which already scrub carbon and don’t use up other resources?

Don’t be silly now, clearly we need large amounts of uneccesary technology.

Global warming is just the earth ramping up for a new Ice Age as it is. It has been proven that Earth goes in cycles of global warming and cooling. In a few generations, we’re going to have the same amount of hype going towards Global Cooling. We just need to take a deep breath and get over it.
