It’s Raining, it’s Pouring…

One thing my wife doesn’t fully understand is that these cartoons don’t reflect 100 percent of my reality. I like my mother in-law, she’s a cool person. I’m pretty devious when I write these things because I twist and bend situations for the sheer purpose of making a joke. I know a lot of people are annoyed by their in-laws, so I wrote a cartoon just for them. Besides, everyone knows their mother in law is pretty buoyant anyway, and you can probably just tie a rope to her, and pull her with the boat. Am I right world, or am I right? (This joke is just pretend! Please believe me when I say I love my mother in-law.)

Please don’t hurt me wifey.

Slide Note:
What a day I am having! If you haven’t noticed I am now being published at the wonderful and informative Press Esc, so check there if you’re into news that doesn’t suck.

Also I’ve been accepted to a number of carnivals, here’s a list:

  • The Reach for Magnificent Wealth Creation (Tips on the road to financial freedom).
  • Play2relax’s Game Carnival
  • 10,000 birds’ I and the Bird carnival (who were awesome enough to include a bunch of cartoons I didn’t even think to send them!)
  • The Carnival of Space: week 11

I definitely recommend checking them all out if you can, possibly while you should be typing that business letter, or faxing smiley faces to the cutie at the deli you order from every day. That’s right, I’m on to you.

I guess it’s a silly stereotype. I can get on just fine with my potential in-laws, and my girlfriend doesn’t have any issues with my parents either. Around me, I’ve never seen parents in-law being behaving according to the stereotype.

Jeremy only says this because he knows his parents are in-laws too and doesn’t want to upset the homeostasis of family life. If my mother heard you call her buoyant you wouldn’t make it to the door to run away… you know it.

I totally didn’t call your mother buoyant, it was more of a general “every mother in-law is buoyant”, which totally has everything to do with child birth. Duh, every doctor knows this to be fact, they prove it using scales!

Looks like I’m sleeping on the couch today folks.

Is there something wrong with the balance our family has right now?
