Loading ...Many people believe there is a huge difference in attitude when it comes to east coast versus west coast, and I am one of them. I shall gladly take my place among those legions of entertainers that say New York is one frantic ball of “fuck you”.
I’m not saying this suits me one bit. I can’t stand how everyone in New York expects you to live at work until you’ve “payed your dues”, which I know from experience… never happens. The only time you can consider your dues payed is when you quit your awful job, and strike off on your own.
This could be what perpetuates the “fuck you” attitude amongst the twitchy hordes of New York monkeys.
I was meant for the Midwest, somewhere between lazy and crazy.

That would explain why there appear to be relatively many webcomic authors from Ohio

Ohio is such a great place for up and coming comic artists. There’s a large convention in Columbus every year, and a good network of places that accept Zines and most hand xeroxed comic books. Not to mention that Bill Watterson Lives in Ohio somewhere. Yeah, Ohio is great.
