Road Rage for the Passive
My wife is a very sweet person, unless she is behind the wheel. I tell you she can put truckers to shame. I try very hard to reach a calm state when driving, and usually this works for me if I have loud music to listen to. I believe my wife prefers to take out her aggressions on people who don’t use blinkers, and giant gas guzzling hummers (the car kind). I am excited to live in a city with adequate public transportation.
Perhaps a city like this,
or this.
On a related note, I just finished reading Chuck Pahlniuk’s new book “Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey”, and in my opinion it is his best book since Lullaby. If you like disjointed tales of absolute strangeness, you’ll love it. It made the perfect read after watching David Lynch’s “Inland Empire”

But really I am not that bad. I just don’t like it when people think they should go slowly in the left lane.

My favorite is tourists at the airport roundabout going the wrong way, carefully peering over the steering wheel at lines of cars at each possible exit, all staring at them without moving, refusing to enter the circle until these people had gotten off.
I will carry that image forever.
And primary school mum’s driving huge SUV’s whose only purpose seems to make the road incredibly dangerous for other drivers - as everyone knows, huge SUV’s don’t have to follow the same road rules as the rest of us.

I’m almost embarrassed at how like me this is. Oh and Rant is abso-forkin-lutely genius.
