Ross, Barista does sound kind of Cuban. It's not even in the spell checker, which makes me wonder if it's really even a word. My wife's got some 'splaining to do. Those MacBooks are pretty hot, watch out, she might suspect you've got a "thing" for it. Mine's got a dell so she never has to worry about any torrid affairs with it.

Even hotter are those alienwares but damn are they expensive, if you're going for a laptop then that's cool, but I just found out you can save close to six grand if you build a workstation yourself.

Check it:

dual xeon for $3,574 say what? If you're into 3d animation watch out for the SLI systems, they say they're good, but they don't offer any more speed than a good single graphics card. Apparently they're more for gaming.

I'm kind of a gear head when it comes to computing power, or really more of a dreamer.

Who came up with the word "Barista" anyway. Sounds like some sort of Cuban leader overthrown by Fidel Castro in 1959. As for old computers, I'm still blazin with my circa 1999 Mac, while I try to convince the girlfriend to buy a really hot new MacBook... When I marry her maybe i will get to use it!
