Baby Defense
It’s been really busy ’round the old studio, so the update is a little late. Many pardons. Enjoy this cartoon ripped straight out of the headlines.

Hahaha, that’s hilarious.
It happening in Reality (big R, since it’s pretty much of a big thing) is not so hilarious though…

I’m a modern fella; I can appreciate that racial slurs can be ironic, etc. But this whole comic seems to exist solely for the racial slur punchline.
Love your stuff, entirely; just was surprised by this one.

How offensive! ok not really.
I’ve been known to throw racial slurs left and right, mainly because I grew up in the “melting pot” of culture (ie. where it goes to die). It’s always in jest, and I always enjoy Polish / Native American / Welsh jokes. I’m sure there’ll be a few more racial slurs before I hang up the wacom tablet.
What’s surprising is someone thinking this comic has a punchline. If there was one it would be panel 3, or maybe 5.

I never liked melting pots. Every culture tends to turn into the same (capitalism-based) thing in these places. What we need is a salad bowl of cultural diversity.
I don’t think that racial slur is any worse than ripping comic ideas straight from the headlines. It’s like this whole comic was stolen from the arms of a mentally ill mother.

If there are any racial slurs that come from an X+ generation Hitchcock it is merely to poke at our own nationality (i.e., polish, Indian, Welsh)
If you want a punchline, talk to our Welsh grandmother, she’s full of them.

oh yeah and be careful Jeremy, as far as the race issue is concerned these days you’re either with Al Sharpton (ask me if I give a shit how its spelled because I don’t) or a white supremacist.
Sooner or later there will be race wars there’s no doubting that. If I’m alive to see it I’m going to drive my car into a pole because the whole thing is ridiculous and I’m sick of hearing about it.

As a parent: “BAD man! bad bad man… go to the corner and think of what all these people are saying o.O” lol yeah right.
As a young human: I believe this is a freaking awesome strip! It gives me something to smile about when I am feeling boring.
As for you other people with an issue: Grow up!

wow, who knew I’d have the defense of a mother on this one. Rock on.

Well, if I were to ever meet this woman I would probably snap her spine. So she will live to suffer the neglect of her doped up family. Children are the most precious and should be the most respected being on earth. So I believe.
But that doesn’t mean that others should go off getting offended by a comic strip. I mean jeez, I think some are offended on the point that you made a “racial” joke. Those should go talk to Oprah, someone who cares about being racist.

wait a minute, when the hell did gypsies even become a race? or non-extinct, for that matter? i could’ve sworn that they were just soulless gatherings of people without homes or self-respect. kinda like hookers.
the last gypsie died in 1963 somewhere in Indiana. foolish fools.
