The wonderful world of art is paved with people who want you to do your job for free. Somewhere along the way being an artist was mislabeled as a desirable profession, almost glamorous. I think Andy Warhol is to blame.

Like Hollywood, you have to whore yourself out a little to get a job doing art, which really means you work in advertising. Combine this fact with the notion that everyone thinks you’re trying to replace them (lets face it, you are), and you’ve got a recipe for some really terrible internships.

What kind of soul sucking terrible crap have you had to do for free?
