Giving Back
On my new street there is a man, a shirtless man, who drags behind him a buffalo news bin filled with recyclable bottles. He takes a smoke break right outside my window, and he’s never alone.
Whoever the voices are in his head, they want to prove him wrong. They want to prove him wrong badly, but he won’t let them. He knows the score, and with a volley of obscenities he tells them off every day.
Never a dull moment when you live in densely populated affordable housing.
Breaking News: It appears my archive done be broke. I recently upgraded wordpress and didn’t think to upgrade the comicpress theme. Bear with me, I may have to change some things to get it working again.

Mmm, the last wordpress update I attempted gave me a few surprises as well. Dig open source / free software, but sometimes there’s a little too much free (chaos.)

Be careful taking pictures of crazy people. They attack on occasion

If only city council people could open their eyes and see that they have an enormous cleaning crew that could cost practically nothing. Just give them some uniforms, some rolling trash bins and let them loose in the city telling them that however much they bring back they get paid for. Kind of like how they recycle cans, but the city would be also paying for trash.
The streets would be clean. They could be clean. Most would be drunk, but at least they could have the income necessary to buy more booze without having to panhandle.
Either that or we could use them to replace the outsourcing to China we do.
