Passive Impatience
Maybe I wasn’t being clear enough, I should send another note with my phone number just in case he didn’t understand my previous note.
Today in Jeremy’s Life: My computer is on it’s last legs, it told me so yesterday. Halfway through drawing this comic it gave me the telltale lines of a fried graphics card. A couple reboots and some cool air allowed me to finish this drawing, but the end is near.
It’s been a good run for this six year old machine, but it’s time to say goodbye to my HP pavilion and say hello to a new (top of the line three years ago) 64-bit dell (thank you small business discount).
This is going to burn through most of my savings so I may have to do the unthinkable and put a donation button up. I’m not sure how I feel about begging for monies, especially when I should be printing t-shirts in a week or so (provided I ordered the correct parts for my press).
It’s always something.

Nothing wrong with needing help. At least we know its going for a good cause, just make uncle sam isn’t going to try and tax you for it.

I hate Dell, and their support is shit. If you want a laptop, I suggest the Lenovo ThinkPad. They are very resilient; my friend dropped his (from ~5ft) and it was all kinds of fine, no problems at all.

Good luck with that, sir. I’ve no experience with Dell at all, but I do know my thinkpad is a very trusty companion. I wouldn’t mind a donation button, actually. Don’t think of it as begging as much as enabling people to give something back

Yeah, my Dell (inspiron e1505), is the only computer I have ever needed the warranty for. I’m glad I was smart enough to get the 4yr extended, because this past fall I had to have the screen, screen casing, and palm rest replaced. Before that I had to replace the keyboard (the shift key randomly fell off). Oh, and right now, my batter no longer works and due to them being so ungodly expensive right now, I have to be plugged in all the time.
Thus, the moral of the story: Don’t waste your time with Dell. They’re a pain in the ass.
